# Launch a new product

In this guide, we will look at the best practices to follow if you are launching a new product.

### Import from Amazon

After the listing is finalized and inventory is available, go to Advigator > Settings > Import product > Sync Catalogue.

### Targeting

Advigator finds top keywords for new products using category-related and Amazon-suggested keywords. This happens after you've set up the product and campaign on Amazon Ads. Initially, targeting might be empty.

The targeting for each product is populated with:

* Any historical data from other campaigns you have created in Amazon Ads console
* Keywords used in the category, suggested by Amazon, and competing products found in search results for relevant keywords.
* Automatic Sponsored Products Campaign.

This should be sufficient to generate the first few clicks. If you want to add more keywords to Targeting go to Targeting > Custom Targeting. Choose a few highly relevant keywords. Each keyword will be added as all match types (exact, phrase, broad).

Avoid adding too many keywords to increase visibility. This can backfire, reducing your ad's effectiveness by worsening the CTR.

### Target ACoS

Set the Target ACoS equal to the desired ACoS in the long run. In many cases there is no need to start with exaggeratedly high Target ACoS (> 40-50%). We recommend starting with your desired value, if it does not generate traffic then visit the “[low impression](#low-impressions)” guide.

### Giveaway

We suggest pausing your ad campaigns while you're running giveaway promotions. Fake orders from the giveaway could mess up your conversion rate and lead to higher bids per click.

### Low impressions?

It is very common for a new product to receive few impressions/clicks, check here possible causes.
